Current Strategy
IFPW Foundation is focused on 4 key activities to further its mission of improving efficient continuous access to safe medicines
and vaccines in the developed and developing
world:
1. Ongoing partnership with GAVI, the Vaccine Alliance, since 2015
to support immunization supply chains, EPI managers and to improve
vaccination rates in the developing world. The primary partnership
activity centers around the STEP Leadership program for immunization
managers and public (and private) health workers.
2. Serving as the
Secretariat of and collaborating with IFPMA and other partners in Fight the Fakes,
an initiative designed to raise awareness around counterfeit and substandard
drugs and prevent their prevalence in the world's healthcare supply chains.
3. Dialoguing with World Health Organization (WHO), IFPMA, PAHO and
other stakeholders on relevant global health priorities, including
Anti-microbial Resistance (AMR), Universal Care Coverage (UHC),
Immunizations, etc.
4. Engaging with UN Foundation, Partnership for
Maternal, Newborn and Child Health (PMNCH) and Every Woman Every Child (EWEC)to increase the availability of
essential medicines and health commodities, specifically those needed by
women/mothers and children, as part of the Sustainable
Development Goals (SDGs).
