Current Strategy
IFPW Foundation is focused on 3 key activities to further its mission of improving efficient continuous access to safe medicines
and vaccines in the developed and developing
world:
1. Ongoing partnership with GAVI, the Global Fund, USAID and other
stakeholders to support public health supply chains and healthcare system
strengthening. The primary partnership
activity centers around the STEP 2.0 Leadership program for immunization
managers and public (and private) health workers.
2. Serving on the
Executive Board of Fight the Fakes Alliance,
an organization commited to raising awareness around counterfeit and substandard
medicines and convening its members to prevent the prevalence of SFs in the world's healthcare supply chains.
3. Supporting the expansion and impact of the African Pharmaceutical
Distribution Association (APDA), a pan-African association of healthcare
distributors and their associations. The aim in strengthening
APDA is to encourage public-private partnerships on the Continent in efforts
to improve efficiency and provide greater access to medicines for the
African populations
